Several years ago, I visited the Isle of Skye.
We stayed for 10 days. I was only 19 at the time, but I had such a good time that a promised myself I would go back there some day in the future.
October 2001 - I am now 33 years old and I return my brother and my friend Frank.
The Fairy Glen is located 2 or 3 miles from Uig.
It is quite hard to find, and unless you are actually looking for it, there's no way you would ever find it by accident.
Due to a unique type of subsidence, the hills in the glen have a collapsed look to them, which gives them a type of layered look.
I have used paintshop pro to brighten the pictures, as to be honest it was quite a dull day whilst I was there.

There are several small lakes in the Glen, which are beautiful to look at.
It is easy to spend hours and hours here without being aware of it.
It is very peaceful and quite in the glen, I think if a person wanted to write some poetry or a book or something, that this would be the ideal place to do it.
I couldn't think of anything to say about the waterfall except that its spectacular.
I think the pictures speak for themselves.

...
When I originally came to Skye, we stayed in a bothy (a stone building available for people to stay in, with very few amenities apart from a fire).
I had wonderful times there sitting by the fire and the simplicity of the building and the fact that it was miles from anywhere with no television etc, were what made it special.

When I returned I stayed at the Limestone cottage and visited the Bothy for the day.
I took some pictures as I got nearer to it. It was amazing for me, as I was looking at something I hadn't seen for 14 years.
When I arrived there I found several people were staying from Edinburgh, London and Canada.
They were really friendly and even offered to make me a cup of tea. The building now has someone to look after it all the time (a Bothy keeper, and it has been painted).
I remember that because the Bothy was so isolated, that we had to carry coal in on our backs.
