About my adventures in Central Asia.

Delhi

I arrive in New Delhi. Get to see cows walking down the road alongside vehicles, make some new friends. The next day we experience an Indian train, on our way to Agra.

Agra

Taj Mahal, aggressive hawkers, friendly camels, Southern Indian food, riding on horse and carts and a visit to the Agra fort.

Orchha 1

Beautiful hotel by the Betwa River, spend hours exploring the palaces and temples founded in the 1600's. Meet some "pretend" holy menu.

Orchha 2

Spend some time in a traditional Indian village. Cooking on fires, people living in huts, hand carved beds, computer training and corrugated steel police stations. Watch the sunset by the Betwa River.

Khajuraho

Drive through the Madhya Pradesh (middle lands) and visit a local school to donate stationary. Relax by the pool, then go walking with cows and visit the Khajuraho temples !!!.

Varanasi 1

Varanasi next to the Holy river Ganges is one of the oldest cities in the world. Take a boat ride along the river, and watch the sun rise over the Ghats as people bath and wash clothes in the holy river. Sit on the steps and later have pictures of 2 fingered gestures taken with my camera.

Varanasi 2

Visit the bread of life bakery in a tuck tuck.. Go out for the evening in a "Noddy" car and see the river ceremony. See silk being woven.

Lumbini

The birthplace of Buddha. We visit several temples and learn different things about Buddhism. We see a center where exponents remain silent in meditation for more than a week.

Chitwan NP 1

Arrive at our camp. Tour a local village, see wild Marijuana, watch the sunset, go on a canoe safari and see a plant called mother-in-laws tongue.

Chitwan NP 2

Walking, Elephant and Jeep Safari's. Visit to the Elephant farm, and track a Rhino in the wild. See a solar eclipse.

Pokhara

Take a boat trip on the Lake, climb to the world peace pagoda and meet a walking haystack. Visit to the mountaineering museum, a Tibetan refuge camp, rent a mountain bike and watch the sunrise over Sarangkot.

Bandipur

Stay in a traditional Inn, in a traditional Nepalese village. I tour the village, and get a chance to see Bushcraft/Self sufficiency practiced at the sharp end of life. Visit a police station bombed by the Maoists.

Trisuli

We drive along the Canyon to the Trisuli centre. On a tour of the centre, we see some amazing over grown trees. We cross the bridge and spend some time on the far bank of the river, where I find traditional shelters.

Bhaktipur

Visit to the ancient city, with its beautiful square, and see pots being made. See the famous "fridge carrying man" and experience a power cut while on a tour of the back streets.

Kathmandu

Visit to the Buddhist temples and Stuppa's of Kathmandu. Get hit with the "milk for my baby" scam, see some more Ghats and wild monkeys. Charter flight around Everest, visit fire and ice (restaurant) and the city's most famous coffee house.
