The Weather was lovely and it was a Sunday and Craig's day of.
There was some discussion about where to go, but Since Portmerion had both a beach, a park and things to do, it won out and we set off.
This is a picture of the Piazza.
The architecture in the village is unique, being designed by Clough William Ellis (one person, not a firm of Solicitors :)
It contains everything from medieval buildings, to 60's style flats.

What isn't well know about Clough William Ellis, is that he also built the cafe at the top of Snowdon and there are now some plans to knock it down and spends millions building a new one.
Sarah and I have our picture taken near some Swiss houses.
We walk down through the village, towards the Hotel, to get to the beach.
We pass the stone boat (which is obviously always moored :).
The hotel is spectacular as would be expected, but I have always wanted to rent one of the cottages for a weekend, and relax around the village, after 5pm when everyone goes home.

I had never actually been to the beach at Portmerion before, but it was impressive, and very secluded.
Sarah had prepared a picnic, and we all tucked in. Craig was wearing shorts, so was able to go for a swim.
The Park in Portmerion (which they call a Garden) has a nice circular walk around a lake.
I love walking around forests and woodland and I was delighted to find that they have over 90 species of tree, not native to the UK or Europe.

I could tell you the name of this building, but I am a keen fan of the Prisoner, and to me, this will always be no 2's house.
And this, his arch nemesis, Number 6's house.
