My first ever trip to the Jungle.
Well, in actual fact, I was on the holiday resort of Koh Samui, and we visited a waterfall there.
For me though, it was still special, the first time I had actualy been in a "Jungle".
Me shortly after a river crossing.
The water was freezing.

My favourite jumper.
I wore it until it quite literally fell to pieces.
I bought one like it some years later from Edinburgh, but it was never the same.
Me pictured outside the house where Oscar Wilde was born
Oscar Wilde has always been an inspiration to me, I just hope me being drunk, and fantastically overweight, didn't disgrace his memory or disrupt his sense of the aesthetic.

Me sitting outside the Snake Pass Inn.
I used to go out with a girl called Adela.
This is me, relaxing on her Settee.

Me Fast asleep in my sleeping bag, at the community centre in Talybont on Usk (hence the Piano).
I had always wanted a mountain equipment "down" bag, and to this day, its one of my proudest possessions.
Me standing by a stream, as I descend Snowdon, in North Wales
It was a difficult time for me, as I realised I wasn't actually that good at outdoor pursuits, and that even if I could make a career as an instructor, I would always be mediocre.
It was here that I decided to move into the field of technology, something I have never regretted.
I have done one as a job, and one as a hobby, ever since, and its worked out fine.

I went for 2 weeks to Lorett de Mar.
It was an awful trip, as the lad that organised it was frightened of flying and it took a day and a half by coach. When we got there it was a god awful tourist trap.
We all went out for a night out, and someone suggested that instead of Lager, I might like to try Sangria, a collection of spirits mixed with wine.
This was the result in the morning, I was too ill to even speak.
Another important learning experience during my growing up years.
One minute past midnight Wednesday the 7th of May 2008.
The first minute, of my 40th birthday.
Sorry that the picture isn't very good, it was taken with a mobile phone.
