| Expedia | The legendary all-in-one travel shop. Cheapest deals are when flight and accommodation are booked together. | |
| Trainline | Shows timetables of train journeys, and shows every kind of available ticket. With the comical price of trains presently, this is an invaluable tool. | |
| The Adventure Company | Organise tours to some of the worlds wonders. Ideal if you don't have anyone to go with. Couldn't recommend them more highly. | |
| Multi-map | For road navigation, this is the Rosetta stone. | |
| National Express | Don't Laugh, Coaches provide a cheap travel alternative and on some routes are quicker than the train (Chester - Manchester Airport). | |
| Travcour | The place for Visa's. Not cheap but saves hours of Hassle. | |
| Tripadvisor | Independent review web site. Full of useful stuff, and superb for getting a "proper" assessment of a hotel before booking. | |
| Streetmap | If your visiting a travel show/staying at a hotel, having accurate easy to read directions removes all sorts of frustration. | |
| Curr Conv. | The expedia currency converter, doesn't just convert travel currency, but actually searches the web for the best rate. | |
| Frixo | Real time Traffic advise. Brilliant for UK motorways (Lakes/Scotland etc). Don't forget, if you haven't got a car, you can rent one from £20 per day. | |
| TFL | Probably the most challenging travel environment you will ever visit - London. Has extensive maps and can plot routes in combinations of foot, bus, tube and train. | |

| Alvin Hall | First saw him on TV, now have most of his books. For pure money strategy (how to save, how to budget) this guy is a deity. A link to his articles and podcasts. | |
| MSE | Martin Lewis’s ws has all sorts of tricks to save money. Subscribe to receive monthly emails. Perfectly possible to save £100 per week using his strategy's. | |
| Firstdirect | People say a bank isn't really your friend. I agree. Other people says banks are all the same. They aren't. If your thinking of changing bank, give them a call. | |
| Money S-market | A brilliant site for searching and comparing Insurance, Loans etc. Also has a section, where you can ask an expert questions on Insurance, Loans etc. | |
| Motley Fool | The original financial management tool on the internet (read how they got their name) some ace articles to get you started on getting out of debt, budgeting etc. | |
| Enterprise Nation | My old friend Emma Jones has setup this amazing site to help you setup a business from home and make a bit of extra money. Her book, spare room startup is excellent. | |
| Morris & Co | The best accountant I know is the one I work for. Everyone else seems to cut cost/value. Not the cheapest but done smart/accurate by someone you can talk to. | |

| Love film | Absolutely brill site, where you setup your own list, and they send you DVD's. | |
| My episodes | American site where you can track your favourite tv show times (especialy usefull for downloaders, off course I dont know anyone like that). | |
| Guardian un. | The main site I use for film reviews. Quite simply their reviews are right on my wavelength. | |
| IMDB | One of the largest databases on the internet. Especialy usefull if youve seen a film, but you cant remember its name, but you know one of the actors in it. | |
| Cinema Listing | Very fast independant cinema listing site. Main thing I like about it, is that it can be printed, unlike some of the poncier sites. | |
| Cineworld | Not fantastic as a website, but Cineworld are the only major cinema chain that offer an unlimited cinema deal (caution, you have to sign up for a whole year minimum). | |
| tv.com | Listing of just about every series ever on TV. Usefull for finding the back story mid series. Can review X Files and find and list episodes that you havent seen. | |
| onthebox.com | Tv listing site. Usefull if you commute as I do. Its possible to print an entire weeks listing on a couple of landscape a4 sheets, highlight them and record when home. | |
| Sky | Sky plus is one of the best modern inventionas ever created. Even better, you can go on the web, and set the box in your house to record !. | |
