At 5am, we got the first train we could and to this day, I have no idea where it went.
I just remember getting of the train in a French town and there was a really nice lake next to it and feeling warm (I have since been told, that this beautifull Place is called Annecy.
We had limited money, so camped most places and slept on the train for accommodation.
Here Lee, armed with the European train timetable, plots our next journey (my camp craft has improved a bit since then so my tent normally looks a bit tidier these days.

Me stopping to catch my breath on the Col-de-Voza (a walk I would complete again, nearly 15 years later.)
Sat on a bench at the top of the hill, It was just about the most exhausting experience I can remember, but well worth it.

A view of the famous Mere de Glass (Literally, Sea of ice) in Chamonix.
